One wonderful scarf idea, two different pattern instructions! If you can’t crochet, knit this scarf. If you don’t knit, there is a crochet pattern. The curling fringe will be a bit more curly when knitted and the crochet scarf will need slightly more yarn, but the results are almost identical. Both scarves can be extended to any size. Just allow extra yarn. Use a solid colour or, as I have done, rack it all up a notch by using a multicolour space dyed yarn. The longer the distance between colour changes, the more interesting the look. 6 pages with 11 illustrations (in zipped PDF format, 1.9 MB* approx). Materials:- Knitted scarf: • 3 x 50gr balls Schoeller and Stahl “Limbo Color” or any DK or 8 ply yarn. Approx 375 metres (407 yards). Each ball of the yarn I used completed about 44 cms (17 ins) of the scarf. • 7.00mm (UK 2) knitting needles. • Wool sewing needle. Crochet scarf: • 4 x 50gr balls Gedifra “Fashion Trend Stripe” or any chunky weight yarn. Approx 290 metres (305 yards). Each ball of the yarn I used completed about 41 cms (16ins) of the scarf. • 7.00mm (US K, UK 3) crochet hook. • Wool sewing needle.
Measurements:- This pattern can be used for a scarf of any size.
