If you are starting to feel like you are caught in a loop, and would like to knit a scarf with structure instead of just texture, here is one easy and effective design. The main pattern is identical on both sides and when the required length is finished, the edge stitches are turned back and stitched to make a border. The patterned ends are knitted on and then turned back in half and stitched in place. Both sides of the scarf are identical and the way it is knitted and made up means that it will never curl.
