A spectacular scarf that is really
a fantasy necklace.
Worked in a wonderful rainbow of coloured yarns, each flower is
knitted in stocking stitch, decorated with very simple embroidery,
then attached to a rouleau base at regular intervals.

Materials:-
• 1 pair 5.00mm ( US 8 , UK 6) knitting needles.
• Wool sewing needle.
• To achieve the rainbow effect, you have to find 24 colours, chosen
to range from yellow, through orange, to red, to cherry, to
red-purple, blue-purple, blue, then aqua and green to chatreuse.
Yarns from your stash or tapestry yarns can provide the range, but
there is a much easier way to find the perfect colours. A wonderful
knitting shop in Melbourne, Australia is selling the rainbow kit
that I used for this scarf and you can order the kit on line. The
yarn is a beautiful 8 ply loopy mohair and has been specially dyed
by Marta, the genius owner of this exciting knitter’s paradise.
Delivery will take less time than it would take to fish around to
find the exact colours you will need, and the grading is perfect.
The yarn is wound in 8 gr balls. If you are using other yarns or
tapestry wool, you will need at least 10gr of each colour.
The base colour will take 220 gr of 8 ply, DK or worsted yarn, or
this can also be supplied in the same loopy mohair yarn as the
rainbow kit.
