ONLINE BOOK: How
to Become an "Expert Knitter"
|
Your creativity will have a free run when deciding which yarns
to choose for this gypsy skirt, knitted entirely in stocking stitch.
The only important thing to remember is that all the yarns should be
able to produce the same tension. If you use some highly textured or
very fluffy yarns, keep them for the lower parts of the skirt for a
more flattering look.
Finding seven perfect yarns gives you a wonderful chance to express
your feelings about interesting colours or a combination of colours
and textures. To heighten the effect, add a crochet trim at each
colour change and around the hem or add braid, lace, bobbles,
metallic yarns or ribbon.
To make a shorter skirt, decrease the number of rows in each tier or
work less rows in the first section using colour A.
8 pages with 5 illustrations (in zipped PDF format,
1.8 MB* approx).
