Whimsical two-piece for your own flower fairy, worked in garter stitch. The top is knitted from shoulder to hem and the skirt from waist to hem. Instructions are given for five sizes, starting from tiny 2-6 months up to 6 or 7 years old, depending on the size of the individual child. As the knitting starts at the shoulder of the little sweater and the waist of the skirt, length adjustments are easy to make, and extra inches can be added later to make the garment grow. Just like a flower.

If you have two or more little girls, make each skirt in a different colour. So cute!

18 sts and 34 rows to 10 cms (4 ins) over garter st, using 5.00mm needles. Measure after lightly ironing the tension square. The stitch count is the most important to match, as lengths can be adjusted easily
