ONLINE BOOK: How to Become an "Expert Knitter"

Knitted entirely in garter stitch, this striking, but easy to knit, scarf is the next step up from cast-on-so-many-stitches-and knit-so-many-rows. Using large, but not unmanageable, needles, it is an ideal project for a new knitter.

4 pages with 5 illustrations (in zipped PDF format, 1.4 MB* approx).

You are given multiple attempts at downloading the pattern file within a 48 hour period. If after this time you have a problem and don't end up with your pattern, email us and we'll sort it out. We will answer emails within 24 hours, and normally much quicker, but please allow for time zone differences.)

• 150 meters (165 yards) of any chunky or polar weight yarn.
I used 3 x 50gr balls of a yarn called “Rozetti Punky Print” which is a polyamid velvet chenille, very fluffy, soft and light.
The scarf will use up to 100 metres (110 yards) of yarn and then the pompons use extra yarn.
• 10mm (US 15, UK 000) knitting needles.
• Wool sewing needle.
• A pompon maker or a small hardback book or a piece of folded cardboard or anything to make pompons.

This pattern can be used for a scarf of any size.
