Knee length and straight sided, with a slightly fitted waist, this skirt is knitted in stocking st. Using 5.00mm needles and any 8ply, sportweight or DK yarn, a quick knitter could be wearing her new skirt in just a few days. The shape is very flattering and as the skirt is worked from waist to hem, it is very easy to change to a mini or ankle length. The skirt shown has a turned-up hem and instructions are included for different finishing ideas, just to set your imagination working. Seven sizes range from petite to XXX large.

Materials:-

• 6 (6, 7, 8, 8, 9, 10) 50gr (1.75 oz) balls Filatura di Crosa 127 Print or any 8ply, DK or sportweight yarn that will produce the stated tension
- Metres to nearest 50: 550 (550, 600, 700, 700, 800, 850)
- Yards to nearest 50: 600 (600, 700, 750, 750, 850, 950)
• 1 pair 5.00mm (US 8, UK6) knitting needles
• Elastic for waist
• Wool sewing needles, sharp and blunt

If you wish to vary the length of the skirt, allow more or less balls of yarn.

Measurements:-

As knitted fabrics are stretchy, you should choose the size closest to your actual hip measurement for a neat fit.
